Training for the TestAll drivers would benefit from some degree of advice before applying for the test, even if this is only an assessed drive. Advice is provided, freely, by our Group Observers. These are all Full Members of the group who have passed the Associations test at Gold Standard. All drives a carried out in the Associates own Car, which must be Taxed, Insured and hold a valid MOT, if required.
All advice is based on Roadcraft The Essential Drivers Handbook,
you will also need to have a good knowledge of the Highway Code.
To receive free advice from Avon Group Observers, all you need to do is join as an Associate Member. Once you have joined you will be assigned an Observer. Then it's up to you to arrange a time and place to meet and away you go. How long it takes you to pass your test will depend on how often you meet your Observer and how much practice you do between sessions. The more you practice, the sooner you'll be ready.
The Group runs regular talks on Advanced Driving and 'Meet The Examiner' nights. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
